Ingredients
  - 3/4? melted butter
 
  - 1 cup molasses
 
  - 1/2 cup honey
 
  - 1 cup thick buttermilk
 
  - 6.5 cup flour
 
  - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 
  - 2 teaspoons ginger
 
  - 4 teaspoons baking powder
 
  - 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
 
  - 1 tablespoon lemon or orange extract (optional)
 
Instructions
  - Mix melted butter, molasses, and honey until smooth
 
  - Add buttermilk (yoghurt), the the flour sifted with salt, ginger, baking powder, and baking soda
 
  - Add lemon extract
 
  - Mix to a smooth, stiff doug.
 
  - Roll on a lightly floured surface to 1/3 inch
 
  - Cut into shapes and place on ungreased baking sheet
 
  - Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
 
  - Cool on racks
